Decidueye is coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!

Decidueye will arrive in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet next week. The Gen VII starter will have the Mightiest Mark and will possess a flying tera type. More importantly the tera raid will be live on March 17-19. Then the second string will occur on March 24-26. The Official Pokémon Japan Twitter made the announcement of the upcoming black crystal raid.

Surprisingly, it was not announced along with the Walking Wake and Iron Leaves tera raid during Pokémon Presents 2023. But I welcome this route too as we can hope and expect more unannounced content in the future. Rowlet appeared in Pokémon Sun and Moon. And not too long ago, Rowlet was also one of the starters in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Players will have chance to catch Decidueye next week after beating this new black crystal raid. If players happen to miss both raids, hopefully the upcoming Pokémon Home integration will let you transfer your Hisuian Decidueye over to S/V. But don’t miss the raids!

Rowlet becomes the Archer Owl

  • my round boi

Rowlet is a round owl boi. It evolves to Dartrix at level 17 and finally becomes Decidueye at level 34. Decidueye is a grass / ghost type Pokémon. It’s easily one of the coolest looking starters – not to mention its archer owl form. I picked Rowlet as my starter in Legends (cause he’s round). Furthermore the Hisuian Dartrix evolves into Decidueye at level 36 with a grass / fighting type. Notice that the tera raid boss will possess three element types: grass / ghost / flying. It’s time to plan your battle plans once more. I wish all the best to all trainers out there! Good hunting in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!
