Update: Iron Hands with Electric type is perfect – Belly Drum, Drain Punch with a Booster drive. Rillaboom has Acrobatics (flying type move) which will counter fighting type / tera.
The Rillaboom 7-star raid will drop next weekend on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The first wave will occur on July 28 to 30, 2023. And then the second wave from August 4 to August 6, 2023. Catch Rillaboom and all your Gen-VIII starters would be complete.
Rillaboom will possess The Mightiest Mark as with past raids. It is a grass-type Pokémon, but interestingly it will have a Normal Tera Type. Such tera will have no resistance to attacks except an immunity to ghost type attacks. Keep in mind that Rillaboom is a bruiser type Pokémon, so you have to use a tanky mon with a high DEF or HP. However, there are some names which could be used for this raid as Normal is weak to Fighting.
Players can use Iron Hands with Belly Drum and Drain Punch – only if this Rillaboom does not have Stomping Tantrum, a ground type attack. Koraidon with Sword Dance and Drain Punch can also work. Annihilape is also a good choice, although players can only use Fighting moves – Bulk up and Drain Punch. Normal type is immune to any of Annihilape’s ghost attacks, so Rage Fist is out. Let’s hope that this raid would be fairly easier than the previous raid. Good hunting!
