We started a Palworld dedicated server recently. And honestly I’ve lost count how many worlds that we created. But we’re glad we have a local server because Palworld will push its full release in a few days on July 10. With the devs also tweeting to starting a new save upon its full release. Developers explain that the sheer number of new content and changes may give the best experience. As for me, I’m staying put.
I’ve created a list of the good things and which needs improvement as we jump to Palworld 1.0. It reminds me of Counter-strike beta version leaping from CS 7.1 to 1.0. Anyway, it feels like skipping 0.8 and 0.9 looks to match the copious amount of new content.
I have to say, Palworld leaving early access feels like an end of an era. I’ve made some absolutely good memories. Either it was a solo game or a coop game. Palworld is a new staple game indeed.

Best base building improvements
I love building bases in Palworld and the ctrl key snapping tool was a great idea. Additionally, this key would aid in ensuring the path in your base are accessible. Instead of one prop arbitrarily placed could obstruct Pal pathing.
I greatly appreciate how the foundations can now snap with the floor tiles. Players previously connect elevated platforms by eye when these didn’t snap. And it was annoyingly tricky just to line them up seamlessly. But a combination of the floor tile, wall tile, and foundation solves this problem. Thereby allowing for base building on a plateau and a hillside.
Pal pathing has also significantly improved. Sure, there was one event that my production facility seemed obstructed, but it appeared to be a bug instead. Manually assigning my party Pal still worked. Now, Pals can respawn the Palbox, or work in a random place if they’re stuck. However the latter can break immersion.
There are also now buildable sites for minerals like Ore, Coal, Quartz, etc. Ranging from Stone to the newest Hexolite mining site, the production helps the base to be sustainable. Coralum can be salvaged on ocean piles, but it can also be found in base fishing ponds.
Some other notable improvements
It feels like there has been an unlisted game optimization that may be driver related to Nvidia cards with version 0.7. Previously my game was averaging 40fps in the base. Now it starts out above 60fps and stabilizes between 40+ fps after playing a while – and with all the clutter of resources on the ground.
Pal pathing is also an almost non-existent issue. And the ctrl key snapping tool helps prevent arbitrary prop placements that can ruin or block the pathing. As for the height, I always build two stories high but this not a big problem too for large size Pals. It seems like your Pals can now freely move and work inside your base.
I’ll say this again and again- the nocturnal trait has changed the game for the better. These Pals don’t sleep and keep working in combination to a relaxed working environment. Pal breeding has improved with the surgery table. But there are still passives out there that can only be gained through breeding – such as the rainbow tier: Diamond Body, Legend, Remarkable Craftsmanship, etc.

My wish list for the full and future versions of Palworld
I wish they’d really put an auto-forward key. Eases up my finger on the W key. But it especially helps when starting a new game with a slow mount.
I also would like to have a weather dynamic in the game. Windrose’s weather was very cozy. I remember seeing that Palworld video about Depresso just chilling beside the window while it’s raining. Rain inside your base is pure ASMR.
There will be new zones and pals to anticipate. But I wish they would keep adding more to the game’s story. Build its lore and who knows 5-10 years down the road, we get the Palworld sequel.
I am waiting for Pals eating mechanic to be fixed or have an option to have them eat in full before going back to work. So it reduces the times they need to feed while working. And maybe add an incentive to cook food and sell for future luxury items.
As for the miscellaneous stuff: improve the DLSS, add more sign variations, plant decors, and functional furniture. More importantly, optimizations to FPS during solo playthrough inside a detailed base. Also put some paw pads or toe beans on Chillet’s feet.
