The recent Pokémon Presents (8.8.2023) have provided some interesting news to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Specifically, there is an awesome event for those who own both Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. And the happy kid is in me since I’m someone (Sam1. No? Okay) who owns both, who is a free gift / tera raid enjoyer.
The Mew vs. Mewtwo Raid event is happening!
Remember the leak on a Mewtwo raid event? It is now confirmed that there is the upcoming Mewtwo Tera Raid next month! In fact, players can obtain their own Mew now through Mystery Gift. The Mewtwo raid event will take place on September 1 to September 17, 2023. There is no second wave on the Mewtwo raid event unlike previous 7-star raid events. Mewtwo will possess the Mightiest Mark with a Psychic Tera type.
How to Receive your Mew
Enter GETY0URMEW via Mystery Gift before September 18, 2023. Note that is a zero, not a letter O.
If all goes well, players can only obtain one Mew and one Mewtwo per save file. Plus the Mew you will obtain will have a different Tera type. So for anyone who owns both copies, you can obtain another Mew and another Mewtwo. Sounds redundant, huh? Although having Pokémon Scarlet and Violet connected to Pokémon Home means that you can use your new mythical and legendary Pokémon on other games (such as Pokémon Go). A paid Nintendo Online subscription is required to participate online raids, but 7-star black crystals will appear even solo after downloading the latest update.
I have a feeling I’m going to use Kingambit for this raid as it resists psychic attacks: Shell bell, Sword Dance, Kowtow Cleave. Or have your Mew sporting a dark type tera. We’ll see.
New Pokémon from the DLC
We’re expecting new (and returning) Pokémon from the new DLC. But some of them have been revealed including new evolution and paradox forms. Applin’s new evolution is the Dipplin. Duraludon will evolve to Archaludon. Then Raging Bolt is the paradox prehistoric form of Raikou. And finally Cobalion’s paradox robotic form would be Iron Crown.
The Teal Mask will release on September 13. And then Indigo Disk’s release is still TBA Winter 2023. It’s safe to start pre-ordering the DLC now to equip the DLC uniforms and obtain a Hisuian Zoroark. Pre-order bonus if you purchase before October 31, 2023.
