Heroes of the Storm Nexomania II event is ending

Heroes of the Storm is still hosting its Lucha event Nexomania II but it is ending on September 8. Heroes of the Storm is Blizzard’s free MOBA who is supposedly in maintenance mode in July 2022. But PTR was never phased out and there are new colors to mounts. Also Thrall gets a new Gear Head skin.

Players will choose a fighter which will unlock exclusive loot in that path. The first quest to gain 100,000 XP is probably the longest to finish without a boost. That is this only counts your own XP gained.

Mal’Gaucho (Mal’Ganis) Quest

1. All Bets Are Off! So, Mal’gaucho it is?
   • Gain 100,000 XP contribution in winning games.
   • Reward: Nexomania II Chest
2. Demon Does Not Die So Easily
   • Win 4 Games as Tank or Bruiser Hero
   • Reward: Mal’gaucho Mal’ganis Portrait.
3. Tiny Mortals!
   • Kill 400 Minions in winning games.
   • Reward: Mal’gaucho’s Burning Gaze (Spray).
4. As a Bat
   • Achieve 20 Multi Kills in winning games (2+ kills)
   • Reward: Mal’gaucho’s Triumph (Spray)
5. New Nexoweight Champion!
   • Achieve 80 takedowns in winnings games.
   • Rewards: Nexomania Pack, MC Tombstone Announcer.

Gata de Battalla (Li Li) Quest

1. All Bets Are Off! So, Gata de Batalla, eh?
   • Gain 100,000 XP contribution in winning games.
   • Reward: Nexomania II Chest.
2. Trouble Brewing
   • Win 4 Games as Healer or Support Hero.
   • Reward: La Gata de Batalla Portrait.
3. Pandamonium!
   • Destroy 15 Forts and Keeps in winning games.
   • Reward: Gata de Batalla’s Wink (Spray).
4. A Game of Cat and Mouse
   • Win 2 games with less than 4 deaths
   • Reward: Flying Cat Kick (Spray).

Nexomania II was hosted back in 2020. Heroes of the Storm is available on Game Pass. HOTS has several game modes including Versus AI, Quickmatch, ARAM (or All Random All Mid), Ranked / Unranked and Brawl. Custom game mode allows players to play certain maps with custom rules.

Each match can last anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes with a level 30 hero cap. Point is, you can fit a number of games in an hour unlike hour DOTA matches. Heroes do not buy items, but will cater to hero builds via talents. But what I like most is players can use mounts to traverse the battlefield.

Maintenance mode means there has been no new hero or map. Hogger was the last new hero in December 2020. But as mentioned there have been new content outside hero rework, such as new colored mounts, new skins, new portraits, and sprays. But bringing Nexomania II is a welcomed development and a pulse on the game.
