Here is the best of Palworld version 0.3!

The Best of Palworld version 0.3

  • Arguably the best update for me is we’re able to connect a stair between two foundations of different elevations!
  • You can now connect floors between foundations to create a platform. It’s perfect when you need to build a starter base and leave minerals below for small Pals to mine.
  • New Pals, especially loving Mimog!
  • Meteor events encourages map exploration and no longer do we need to stay static in the base!
  • Pals hop over the conveyor belt of the production line to get to work rather than getting stuck! So now you don’t have to worry about the Production Lines’ orientation. Your Pals will be able to hop to work.
  • The addition of the nocturnal trait to Pals! Nocturnal Pals can work all day and all night! Sleep is for the weak.

The Good

  • Of course the addition of Sakurajima Island.
  • The max number of bases has increased to 4 with an added vanilla server settings that can allow for 10 bases.
  • They haven’t gotten rid of stacking plantations!
  • Buildable Sulfur nodes and Coal nodes.
  • Addition of Pillars for function and aesthetic.
  • Level cap to 55 and new technology to unlock.
  • Crude oil to add longevity to the game.
  • Even more Pal traits.
  • Introduction to Dog Coin, a type of currency that only certain merchants accept. Dog coin can be looted from junk piles or from capturing/killing a Mimog.
  • New Pal skin mechanics (via Twitch drops).
  • Oil rig dungeon runs adds longevity to the game. Initially difficult, but doable these runs will make players work for getting the highest gear quality to make runs easier.
  • The addition of the Blazamut Ryu raid event.
  • Pals are now much more receptive to stocking resources to your storage rather than keeping it piled near a node.
  • Resources stay and are bundled when you log back into the game.
  • The monitoring stand has become more helpful in assigning work.

The Meh:

  • The Arena. It’s good start, but basically servers now can have PvP.
  • Base radius stays the same.
  • The green glass structure is meh as I was also expecting that they would add building set that portray an Eastern (namely Japanese) theme.
  • It feels like the passive mining in bases have been nerfed when the player is away.
  • Still no vanilla photo mode in Palworld version 0.3.

The Bad

  • We’ve noticed that it’s much harder to assign Pals when throwing them to a facility. For example throwing Dumud directly next to an ore mining site doesn’t work. Perhaps not anymore due to the monitoring stand.
  • You will need to assign a Pal on the monitoring stand but only when the Pal is awake.
  • Mining seemed to have been nerfed even when server settings are on the max side to item drops or resource gathering. It feels like mining and resource generation on the ranch has become slower. Needs more testing.
  • Glass structures do not look aesthetically appealing.
